Woodview Stud is set at the foot of Moel Famau below the ancient hill forts that line the beautiful Vale of Clwyd.  The Stud is operated by Moira Barron who is well known throughout the UK for her expertise.

Moira has ridden from the age of four and has acquired extensive experience of working with and breeding ponies. She worked as a professional groom prior to marriage and throughout her career she has bred, shown and produced many very successful ponies.

She has ridden both astride and side saddle, driven singles, pairs and tandem.

The Stud has fashioned many fine ponies such as Woodview Filidori, who has produced Supreme Champions in his first, second, third and subsequent crops.

Moira is passionate about her work and is currently chairman of the National Pony Society’s Area 27. Woodview Stud provides a dedicated team and first class facility that offer a lifetimes worth of experience of breeding and caring for ponies.
